Simcoe County

Here is a story from a few years ago - 2007

Police executed search warrants on three common bawdy-houses Thursday.

Members of the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit, Major Investigation Support Team (MIST) and field members executed the searches at Aromatherapy Health Centre, 25 Paris St. in Alliston, and Angus' Fantazia Health Centre, 4 Pine River Rd. Unit 4, and Majestic Health Centre, 4 Massey St. Unit 3.

Police say the businsses have been under investigation for a period of time after receiving several tips from the community about alleged illegal practices.

Under the Criminal Code, a common bawdy-house is a place that is kept or occupied, or resorted to by one or more persons for the purpose of prostitution or the practice of acts of indecency.

Police say there is an undesirable criminal element associated with these establishments. Charges and what was seized in the searches have not yet been released.
